Isle I Do: The Amazing Album

The Amazing Album

The ideal way to capture your wedding memories.

Photography by Keep It Local Foto

The album is easily the most important piece of wedding memorabilia. It holds all the precious moments of joy, laughter and elegance captured on your wedding day. However, it can be easily ruined by the slightest error or oversight. Now don't get worried, (or blame the photographer for unimaginative photos) because if you appropriately plan your wedding album, the chances of spoilt pictures are greatly reduced.

Talk to the Photographer

Don't ever think about giving the photographer all the responsibility to come up with creative shots and locations because that may end in disaster. Give the photographer a reasonable wish list of pictures, (about 10-20 photos), ask his opinion on your choices of photos and be open-minded to his suggestions.

Cloudy Skies, Pouring Rains

Don't let the rain wash away your wedding memories. You can easily adapt to weather changes if you plan accordingly. Travel with umbrellas, because a bride and groom sharing a passionate kiss under a single umbrella is a memory worth keeping.

Don't let the sun go down on you

The sunset can provide a breath taking background for your wedding photos. However, try to get all of your outdoor shots done before the sun goes down completely as the photographer's flash might not provide enough light and your photos may be dark.

Don't limit yourself

Candid photos are now considered very trendy in wedding albums. Don't rely exclusively on the family-line-up-and-smile pictures because these can make your album boring and linear. Tell your photographer to be creative and watch for impromptu photo ops.

Sit down together as a couple

Plan everything together because a well planned album can make even the most disastrous weddings appear to have gone perfectly. There should be no regrets because your album should remind you of the smiles, grace and elegance that highlighted the day you exchanged vows.
